Padbury Senior High

Padbury Senior High School is located in Perth’s northern suburbs, about 5 minutes from the famous Hillary’s Boat Harbour and the sparkling Indian Ocean. The school has a population of around 600 students and is acknowledged by the Department of Education and Training as a Marine Studies Specialty School.
Students have the opportunity to participate in the marine studies program from Years 8 to 12, and can participate in the new Marine and Maritime Technology course of study, gaining them TER credits. Throughout the program students learn about topics such as oceanography, navigation skills, marine ecology, marine biology and sustainability - with the SCUBA option being a major highlight.
Padbury offers courses from PADI Junior Open Water Diver right up to Rescue Diver. The school often has ex-students coming back to complete their Divemaster certification. Many students begin their diving adventure with their Junior Open Water course in Year 8 and continue their dive education right through to the Rescue Diver level.
In addition to these world recognized certification courses, Padbury offers students many exciting diving opportunities to further develop their underwater skills. These include Rottnest charters, Marmion marine park charters, AQWA shark dives, night dives and underwater clean-ups. For the really keen divers Padbury offers camps to locations such as the Busselton Jetty, HMAS Swan wreck, Abrolhos, Exmouth and even Vanuatu to dive the Coolidge shipwreck.
