Ahh What a Place to Explore!

Today in class, you are going to complete the first section of the Extended Research. Just as we have done in the past with field investigations, you are to describe the Ningaloo Reef Marine Park environment. To guide you I have mentioned a few things to include:

· The size of the study area

· The annual climate

· Type of reef

· Marine organisms (i.e. fish, crustacean coral, ect.)

· Any other abiotic factors or biotic factors

You can use the information provided by the website, but you will also have to check other sites such as the Beaureu of Meteorology for annual climate. Please include photographs, maps and any other important images (remember to reference all downloads).

It would also be of benefit if you looked at the coastal environment at the same time. This will come in handy later when we look at the human impact on the Marine Environment.
